Audits and certifications
All industry participants are required to provide us with audit information to ensure compliance with the Code and to evidence the integrity of their processes.
Audit types
The following industry participants are required to complete audits. For when and how audits need to be submitted, see parts 3, 10, 11, 15, and 16A of the Code.
- All industry participants - can be randomly audited for profiles.
View profile audits - Dispatchable load purchasers - are required to obtain and maintain certification in order to offer dispatchable load into the market.
View dispatchable load purchaser audits - Distributors (local and embedded networks) - must undergo regular audits.
View distributor audits
- Generators (that are not also reconciliation participants)
must have regular audits.
- Metering equipment providers - are responsible for complying with a category 1 or higher metering installation.
View metering equipment provider audits - Reconciliation participants - are required to obtain and maintain certification if they perform certain functions defined in the Code.
View certified reconciliation participant audits
Reconciliation participants that trade distributed unmetered load must submit audits for each of their distributed unmetered load database(s).
View distributed unmetered load audits - Test houses - must be approved to calibrate, install, commission and certify metering installations in accordance with Part 10 of the Code.

We approve auditors to conduct audits under the Code for:
- dispatchable load purchasers
- distributors
- market operation service providers
- metering equipment providers
- reconciliation participants
- test houses.
