Call for nominations to the Security and Reliability Council

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is calling for nominations for four members to the Security and Reliability Council.

The Security and Reliability Council provides independent advice to the Electricity Authority on reliability of supply issues, and on the performance of the electricity system and system operator.

To make a nomination, please complete and return this nomination form by 7 November 2023 to SRC.Secretariat@ea.govt.nz.

The Electricity Authority appoints members to represent a broad array of expertise in the electricity industry. We are particularly interested in nominations from people in governance, executive or senior management roles responsible for:

  • electricity distribution
  • gas transmission, distribution and regulatory frameworks
  • electricity generation - particularly hydro, wind or thermal
  • power system operations and performance.

We intend to appoint the successful nominees for a three-year term, starting 1 April 2024.
