Decisions on 30 July and 7 October 2022 under-frequency events

In August 2023, the Electricity Authority consulted on its draft determinations for two under-frequency events on 30 July and 7 October 2022.
Our final determinations are that:
- Genesis Energy Limited was the causer of the under-frequency event on 30 July 2022
- Transpower New Zealand Limited was the causer of the under-frequency event on 7 October 2022.
Read the reasons for our determinations.
If a substantially affected participant would like to dispute these final determinations, they can provide a written notice to the Rulings Panel within 10 business days after the publication of this decision.
Notices should be sent to registrar@electricityrulingspanel.nz by 5pm on 13 November 2023.
