  • Strategy

The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko Annual Report 2023/24 has been published.

The year reported on represents a time of rapid and significant change for the Authority and the electricity sector.

We articulated a new vision for the Electricity Authority and a multi-year plan to deliver better outcomes for consumers. We focused on enhancing security of supply, harnessing the power of data for better performance and enabling greater flexibility in the system for a more affordable, secure and resilient energy future for New Zealand.

Along with financial and non-financial reporting measures, we’ve used case studies throughout the report to spotlight key areas of our work, including:

  • Keeping our eyes on the future: Improving visibility of generation investment
  • Increasing efficiency of the distribution network
  • Consumer Care Guidelines, electricity consumer and industry wānanga
  • A new way of bringing consumer voices to the Authority’s decision making
  • Resilient, affordable electricity for the future
  • Our four years of independent assessment progress

We would like to thank you for your active engagement in our work throughout the year and the insights you continue to bring. This is essential for supporting us to keep our focus in the right places, make the right decisions at the right time and deliver on our vision for consumers.
