Updated guidelines on the Authority’s information-gathering powers

  • Corporate

We have updated our Guidelines on information gathering powers. This is to reflect changes to the Electricity Industry Act 2010 and to align with our Information management policy, which explains how we collect, use and share information.

The guidelines inform industry participants and other stakeholders on the nature of the information we can gather, and the principles and procedures we follow when doing so.

The guidelines apply to information requests under the Electricity Industry Act 2010 only.

The guidelines replace two existing documents: Guidelines on information gathering – Industry and market monitoring and Guidelines for information gathering for compliance purposes.
