Watch our October update
Thanks to everyone who joined our October quarterly update.
Our Chief Executive, Sarah Gillies, opened the session with an overview of how the Authority has reprioritised its work programme and our priority projects for 2024/25.
“The rapid change in our sector places demands on the Authority to change the rules, and also to change the way we regulate - to be genuinely open, accessible and supportive of new ideas, to accelerate innovation and enable change. We’ve prioritised our work programme to align with our vision and strategic outcomes, and respond actively to industry developments and new information."
Our staff provided updates on:
- the Energy Competition Task Force work programme
- progress implementing the Market Development Advisory Group’s recommendations to strengthen the wholesale market
- industry training and compliance case studies
- our new Power Innovation Pathway.
We also welcomed Jamie Silk, the Chair of the new Electricity Authority Advisory Group. Jamie talked through the role of the group and its members.
You can watch the quarterly update below and view the presentation slides
Save the date - our next quarterly update will be on Wednesday 11 December at 2.30pm.
