Consultation

On 28 March 2017, we published an issues and options paper that considers opportunities to develop the market for financial transmission rights.

This consultation closed on 9 May 2017. We would like to thank all stakeholders who provided a submission.

After considering the submissions, we released a decision paper on 24 April 2018.

This decision paper sets out and explains our decision to focus on:

helping participants to better understand the FTR market and how they can benefit from it through education, and
considering whether increased FTR auction transparency could support easier and more efficient trading.

This consultation paper sought feedback on 12 options intended to enhance the operation of the FTR market.
