System operation documents
The system operator regularly reviews their plans, strategies, and policies. The Electricity Authority is responsible for approving these changes.
Overview
We collaborate with the system operator to develop system operation documents that are incorporated into the Code and are enforceable under the Code. We provide input from a policy and regulatory perspective and the system operator advises from a technical power systems perspective.
System operation documents are regularly reviewed. The system operator typically consults on proposed changes before submitting their recommendations to us for approval.
The system operation documents are:
- Ancillary services procurement plan(under Part 8 of the Code)
- AUFLS technical requirements report (under schedule 8.1 of the Code)
- Emergency management policy (EMP) (under Part 7 of the Code)
- Policy statement (under Part 8 of the Code)
- Security of supply forecasting and information policy (SOSFIP) (under Part 7 of the Code)
- System operator rolling outage plan (SOROP) (under Part 9 of the Code).
